Privacy Policy — Cadenza

Cadenza (“the app”) is a jump-rope counter that uses your AirPods’ motion sensors to count your jumps. This policy explains exactly what the app does — and does not do — with your data.

The short version: Cadenza does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything happens on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. The app has no servers.

Motion & Fitness

Cadenza uses motion data from motion-capable AirPods (AirPods Pro, AirPods 3rd generation, or AirPods Max) to detect and count your jumps in real time. This motion data is processed entirely on your device to count jumps, and is never stored, transmitted, or shared. You are asked for Motion & Fitness permission the first time the app needs it.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, Cadenza can save each finished session to Apple Health as a Jump Rope workout (duration and jump count). Cadenza only writes this data to Apple Health — it does not read your health data. Health data is stored by Apple Health on your device and is protected by Apple’s privacy safeguards. Cadenza never transmits your health data off your device. You can revoke Health access at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Cadenza.

On-device storage

Your records (such as your best count and best streak) and your settings are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to any Cadenza server — Cadenza has none.

Data sharing

None. Cadenza does not share data with any third parties, and does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Children

Cadenza is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
